Der Klang des Herzens

I am a lover of God, my wife, my son and daughter. I am the pastor of a great church in the heart of Europe, in a city called Salzburg. My family, Wife Laura, son Daniel and daughter Keziah and I moved here in 2008 from Bloemfontein, South Africa. We planted our first church in Bloemfontein and were able to hand over the church to Roelof and Alta Lindeque in 2008(www.hispeoplebloem.co.za). We have been blessed and privileged to be part of many precious people’s lives over the past 9 years as their pastors.

 I graduated from Rhema Bible Trainging College in Johannesburg in 1991. While I was attending Rhema I met my best friend and life mate, Laura. She has been the greatest supporter in my life, we got married in 1991 and are celebrating 18 years of marriage this December.  Praise God!!!

 I sojourned in business before we answered the full time call in 2001.

Our greatest desire is to see “the church” come alive into it’s calling and purpose to be “church outside the walls”. To us that is the most beautiful expression of Christianity, when we go beyond our comforts to see others first. To serve, to walk and talk the word of God. That we will be the T-shirt for God.

I am an avid golfer and am playing of a 4 handicap. I am an golf evangelist, where else will you get four hours out of a businessman’s schedule to talk about creation, nature and God every week. Most of these guys will never set foot in a church outside of the hatching, matching or dispatching occasions.

I love reading about the emergent and missional church movements, and believe that we can change the world by loving them like Jesus did.  We live to see the Kingdom of God established in the hearts and lives of all we meet and come into contact with. 

Laura and I love art and she is the most amazing artist and photographer. I am super proud of her work, or rather passion.
